Are Chemical Peels safe?

Chemical Peels are safe and effective for all skin types, including darker skins when performed correctly and appropriately, according to skin type and peel guidelines  

What types of Chemical Peels are there?

The most popular types of peels are AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) & BHA (beta hydroxy acids), which typically work on the upper layers of the skin to gently exfoliate and improve the appearance of the skin

What can Chemical Peels treat, are they good for the skin?

Peels are very beneficial for the skin and can treat a variety of different skin concerns such as acne, enlarged pores, blackheads, hyper pigmentation, restore hydration and can even help reduce fine lines and wrinkles

Is a Chemical Peel painful?

Most superficial peels are associated with only mild to moderate redness and a prickling sensation upon application, some may also feel warm on the skin, but not painful 

How long does it take to your skin to recover from a Chemical Peel?

It normally takes around 3-5 days for the skin to recover, stronger peels may take up to 7-10 days, some people don’t have any real down time at all. It’s important your skin is prepped on the appropriate homecare leading up to a peel, to ensure your skin is strong and healthy and you get the best results possible

Is it normal to breakout after a Chemical Peel?

It can be quite normal to experience a post peel breakout, but not everyone does and these generally resolve quickly and become less frequent as you continue treatments
