Skin needling is a process where microscopic needles are used to gently pierce the skin to rebuild and remodel the structural components of the skin, known as your collagen and elastin fibres. What does skin needling do?
Skin needling creates tiny microscopic channels within the skin that initiate wound healing and fibroblast activity which in turn rebuilds and remodels the structural components of the skin (collagen/elastin fibres)
Does skin needling hurt?
Home Roller needling devices are generally too short to pierce deep into the skin, however in-clinic treatments are deeper and anything over 1.5mm penetrate into the dermis which may cause some mild discomfort
Is skin needling good for your face?
Yes, absolutely - not only can it be used on the face but it can also be used on the body for things such as stretchmarks, surgical scars and other imperfections
How long does it take for skin needling to work?
Within the first 1-3 days the body initiates the wound healing response, some people will experience a post needling glow once the initial redness has subsided, about 7 days post treatment. However new natural collagen takes approx 4- 6 weeks to form and for results to become visible. Results will continue to accumulate with treatments and time
How long does it take for skin needling to heal?
The first 24-48 hours there can be some redness which is easily covered with mineral makeup. It normally takes anywhere from 5-10 days for the skin to fully recover from a treatment
How long does skin needling last?
